Our Mission is to Build Support for Legislation for Clergy Mandated Reporting in the State of Kansas. Kansas is One of 10 US States and Subsidiaries that does not have mandated reporting when it comes to reporting child abuse.
We’re working to change that.
This initiative is led by Joe Cheray a survivor who knows firsthand the cost of silence — and the importance of speaking up.
Joe, already leads the statewide campaign Mandate Clergy in Kansas to Report Abuse
Through that campaign, she has:
- Built working relationships with Kansas legislators on clergy mandated reporting bills, including SB 218 (Sheldon’s Law).
- Created a recognizable campaign brand, website, brochures, and QR-linked outreach materials.
- Tabled at community events and grown an online community and donor base.
- Gained governance experience chairing a local ADA Advisory Council and other volunteer boards.
Every voice matters in the push for accountability.
